A German oak chest of drawers
Nuremberg region, Germany. Second half of the 18th century
A bold and sculptural 18th century chest of drawers, resting on bun feet. Crafted with an eye for detail, the top is inlaid with a star, and the three drawers are fitted with a lock whose key hole is on the right side so as not to disturb the clean lines of the front. The chest's form is characteristic of Nuremberg.
