A Rare Pair of Mid-Century Occasional Tables

France, c 1950

A wonderful pair of ‘martini’ tables, or occasional tables, with softly moulded cast iron free form tops reminiscent of artist’s palettes. The tops retaining their original green enamel paint, with commensurate signs of age, supported by tapering iron legs and brass ball feet, in the taste of Jean Royere. Dimensions given are of the tops, one table 1.5 cm lower so they can sit together.
